atsec evaluates Public Key Infrastructure Framework Version 2.1

Austin, TX - atsec information security is pleased to announce completion of the U.S. Government Family of Protection Profiles Public Key-Enabled Applications Version 2.77 Common Criteria evaluation of the Public Key Infrastructure Framework Version 2.1 toolkit. PKIFv2 was successfully evaluated at evaluation assurance level (EAL) 4 augmented by ALC_FLR.2.

PKIFv2 was certified by the National Information Assurance Partnership's (NIAP) Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme.. The product was evaluated on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003, SP1 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 WS, Update 1 platforms. PKIFv2 was developed by CygnaCom Solutions, and the certification was sponsored by the United States Marine Corps.

PKIFv2 is a toolkit used by application developers to incorporate secure PKI functionality into an application. It provides a set of C++ programming interfaces comprised of extensible classes that perform PKI-related functions including certification path processing, digital signature generation and verification, and public key encryption and decryption.
