atsec information security Evaluates Vanguard Enforcer

Austin, TX - atsec information security corporation is pleased to announce Common Criteria certification of Vanguard Enforcer, a leading enterprise intrusion detection and management solution for mainframe computers. atsec has earned an industry-leading reputation for success in evaluating complex mainframe computer operating systems and related software, performing multiple evaluations of IBM z/OS, z/VM, PR/SM, and LPAR at challenging assurance levels since January 2004.

atsec evaluated Vanguard Enforcer 7.1 from its Austin-based Common Criteria test lab. The evaluation results were validated at Evaluation Assurance Level 3 augmented (EAL3+) by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria Evaluation Validation Scheme (CCEVS), the Common Criteria validation scheme for the U.S. The certification is recognized by 24 countries worldwide through the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement.

Vanguard Enforcer was developed by Vanguard Integrity Professionals, a leading supplier of enterprise mainframe security solutions. Vanguard also sponsored the certification effort. Enforcer is available to customers with IBM System z Security Server (RACF) implementations with a need to protect critical data and resources by continuously monitoring and analyzing mission-critical activities and events.
